What is Public Data?
Some types of information do not require sensitive handling and have been categorized as viewable to the public. If data is intended for public access, use or viewing and does not contain anything listed as sensitive or confidential.
This information can be displayed on public-facing resources such as campus maps.
Public Data Elements
- Username and email
- Student name, major and degree
- Employee name and financial compensation
- Campus map showing buildings, names, addresses, parking, lighted pathways, emergency phones, etc.
Storage & File Exchange
There are no security restrictions or guidance needed for Public Data.
